Event Times: From 5.30pm onwards, with the Christmas lights switch-on at 6.30pm

The Christmas lights switch-on in Nottingham's Old Market Square will take place on Friday 21st November 2014.

The event will mark the opening of Nottingham's Christmas celebrations and the 'transformation' of the Old Market Square into a spectacular Winter Wonderland scene.

A fun packed evening for all the familly with Christmas songs from the Southwell Minster Choir, festive music and live performances on the outdoor stage and lots more entertainment in the whole of the Old Market Square. This year, a local family will be chosen to switch on the the Christmas lights!

Attractions in the Old Market Square will include: Nottinghams magnificent Outdoor Ice-Rink, and festive Olde English Christmas Market selling gifts and crafts, plus lots of hot & cold food stalls.

There will be fairground rides, outdoor bars, live entertainment from the bandstand at the heart of the square, and also your oppurtunity to pick up some early bargains from all the fabulous and unique shops in the centre of Nottingham!
